Rose Witte
Certifications:
NSCA Certified Personal Trainer
CPR Certified
An avid ballet dancer throughout her childhood and teenage years, Rose discovered her passion for weightlifting at UCLA as she pursued her degree in biochemistry. While the weight room and the dance studio may seem like opposites, Rose found that ballet and resistance training were similar: refining movements through focused repetition, isolating specific muscles, and always striving to improve. Realizing her love for lifting and looking for a new challenge, Rose began competitive bodybuilding, earning five first place titles and a national qualification from the National Physique Committee by the end of her first season in 2024.
Outside of the gym, Rose studied metabolism through scientific research as a summer fellow at the Rockefeller University in Dr. Jeffrey Friedman’s lab, well known for discovering the hunger hormone, leptin. Currently, Rose researches bioenergetics as a technician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Dr. Shingo Kajimura’s lab, which explores the roles of fat tissues in metabolic health.
As a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Rose blends her athletic and academic backgrounds to support clients in achieving their goals. She helps clients build muscle through proper lifting technique, develops science-based nutrition strategies based on client desires, and helps those new to the gym feel confident and capable in the weight room.
