VIM Pilates Trainer Bios
Allie Robinson
During her time at University of Texas, she studied Exercise Science with a focus on strength and conditioning coaching. While studying injury prevention, Allie worked with the UT Men’s Basketball Team. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer. Allie believes a great trainer has a strong commitment to continue learning and growing with her clients.
Allie has a growing passion for pilates. She is currently Core Mat I & II certified with Power Pilates. She is continuing to pursue complete classical training utilizing the Pilates apparatus. She will help you accomplish a well balanced fitness program for a happy and healthy life.
Alex Van Buren
Alex has been teaching Pilates Mat at VIM for over five years and has recently begun teaching Strength Conditioning class. In her fitness classes, Alex loves to provide a variety of options and modifications of exercises so that beginners to more advanced participants can excel. Outside of VIM, Alex is a high school teacher and has completed two master’s degrees in Secondary Education/Spanish and Educational Leadership and Administration. Alex loves speaking Spanish and traveling.

Sophie Nash
she/her
Sophie Nash (she/her) is an ACSM certified Exercise Physiologist. She holds degrees in Dance and Exercise Science from SUNY Brockport. Sophie came to Pilates in her teens because of her diagnosis of scoliosis as a young dancer, and has been a fan ever since!
In addition to teaching Pilates, Sophie is pursuing her OTD at MGH Institute of Health Professions and is a freelance dance artist in the Boston Area. She is passionate about movement as a modality for change.
